Whether you’re looking for a challenging trek across windswept moors, or just a relaxing stroll through secluded woods, you’ve come to the right place . Dartmoor has it all. You can blaze your own trail, or follow one of the many planned routes in leaflets and books (including family routes designed to put the children in charge!) lasting from an hour to a full day.

Walking on Dartmoor is excellent. Different tastes and experiences are catered for. For the less demanding walker there are car parks from which brief, pleasant excursions can be made. Walking with Moor Care
Be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions.
Wear and carry the right equipment.
Use stiles and gates to cross boundaries.
