The Bedford Hotel, Tavistock

The Bedford Hotel, Tavistock Sitting on the site of a former Benedictine Abbey, the Bedford Hotel was once home to the Dukes of Bedford for 100 years.

The Hotel was built in 1820 and looks over the square of the ancient stannary town of Tavistock.
It is rumoured that one of the ancestors of the Dukes of Bedford haunts the corridors at night and a young girl has also been 'seen' in the hotel restaurant.

The Oxenham Arms, South Zeal

The Oxenham Arms, South Zeal This traditional coaching inn has an unusual granite monolith set into the wall of the bar lounge and was formerly a monastery. Ghosts of a monk and a lady have been seen, as well as footsteps heard in the corridor.

The Plume of Feathers, Princetown

The Plume of Feathers, Princetown Built in 1785 this Inn is the oldest building in Princetown. There have been rumours of an icy presence in the ladies toilets and the sound of sobbing and footsteps in the upstairs accommodation.

The Three Crowns Hotel, Chagford

The Three Crowns Hotel, Chagford This hotel dates back to the thirteenth century and is where the ghost of poet Sydney Godolphin, who was killed by Royalists in the entranceway, is said to be the hotels' oldest guest.

Lewtrenchard Manor, Lewdown

Lewtrenchard Manor, Lewdown This Jacobean Manor built in the 1600s on the site of an earlier house is home to the ghost of a white lady who is reputed to be the spirit of a widow of one of the former squires of Lewtrenchard. She has been spotted in the gallery, the drawing room and in the gardens.
