Maggie Tyrrell is a multi-media multi-talented artist who studied Art at Portsmouth College of Art. For many years as a professional teacher in the South of England, she passed on her artistic skills and during this time she painted many landscapes in oil and watercolour before discovering the flexibility of acrylics.

With her natural eye for colour and perspective, her skill as an artist was soon recognised. Her classical but emotive style linked to her ability to produce proportionately large landscapes has resulted in pictures that have captured the hearts of many visitors. When displayed at West Country art exhibitions, they have been snapped up by keen buyers, one discerning buyer purchasing five paintings.

Her talent for portraying local life as it is has proved extremely popular and more recently her work has been commissioned. Each painting portrayed here today has a known provenance and depicts lifelike scenes from this wonderful part of the world in which we live.
