The Coachman’s Cottage, originally an old granite coach house, stables and smokehouse, is situated in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park, overlooking the junction of the East and West Darts at Dartmeet.
Accommodation downstairs comprises a kitchen/diner and toilet/shower room. Upstairs is a spacious lounge with a comfortable corner sofa unit, TV, and also a single bed with a pull-out extra bed. This room leads to an equally spacious double/twin bedroom. High quality cotton linen provided. Full central heating.
Outside is a south-facing patio and a sheltered area of garden. Both bedroom and patio have splendid views of the Dart valley and surrounding moorland. Moorland, woodland and riverside walks on your doorstep.

Directions

From A38 take the Pear Tree exit at Ashburton, following the signs for Two Bridges and Princetown. Dartmeet is 7 miles from Ashburton, where you will see a sign for Badger’s Holt restaurant, and the road crosses the River Dart for the third time. The first building after the bridge is Hunter’s Lodge B&B, and the Coachman’s Cottage is just after it on the right. Come down through the garden to the reception in Hunter’s Lodge.
